Please be aware that under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Regulation 2025, the use of glue traps for rodent control is now prohibited across New South Wales.
As outlined in Part 6, Miscellaneous, Section 42 of the Regulation:
A glue trap must not be set unless it has a cage or other protection which prevents an animal from contact with the glue, or it is otherwise designed to prevent the capture of an animal in the trap
This restriction applies across the entirety of NSW
A glue trap is defined as any device that uses a non-drying adhesive material as the mode of capture
The sale and use of glue traps for trapping animals, as defined in the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1986 (the Act), is prohibited in Victoria. This prohibition includes use by commercial pest controllers for rodent management under any circumstances.
In Victoria, insect glue traps may only be sold or used if they are not capable of trapping an animal.
Glue traps sold or used for insect capture must have a cage, barrier, cover or other design features which will prevent an animal from coming into contact with the adhesive surface.
Captures Insects
TRAPPER® MC Glue Trap is a disposable cardboard glue trap that captures roaches and insects without poison. Its powerful adhesive is applied to a cardboard trap and covered with a special release paper.
To use, peel back the release paper and place TRAPPER® MC Glue Trap flat against walls or in corners. Drop this economical glue trap in the trash after use.
